The new 658 room, AUD$300m Crown Metropol will open in 2010 and will reflect the urban and metropolitan context of the hotel's design and location. In 2009, multi-million dollar refurbishments were undertaken by many hotels, including Crown Towers, Hilton on the Park Melbourne, Hilton Melbourne Airport, The Sebel & Citigate Albert Park Melbourne, Grand Hyatt Melbourne and Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto.
